IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Under the Parks and Recreation tab visitors may click on state parks and visit a state park’s webpage for further park information to help them plan their trip before heading out to the park to hike or camp

During the months of April through October parking lots at both Matthiessen and Starved Rock fill to capacity and close Thursday-Sundays as well as holidays between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

 

Please note that all trails remain open at the park but for the brown Bluff trail above French Canyon, Beehive Overlook, Owl Canyon Overlook, Tonti Canyon and Tonti bridge. Hike safely!
