Description:  July 31st is World Ranger day set aside to celebrate and honor “rangers” throughout the world who give their time, knowledge, and expertise to the various ecosystems, habitats, plants, trees, animals, and to you the park visitor each and every day of the year.  Celebrate on Saturday, July 30th, by enjoying fun crafts, guided hikes, activities, and of course don’t forget to earn  your “Junior Ranger Badge” at the Starved Rock Visitor Center.  Meet Smoky the Bear and his friend Sadie the Starved Rock Eagle too!
