Description:  Join Joe Jakupcak, retired Geology teacher and present hike leader at the Starved Rock Lodge for a one-of-a-kind hike through time to find out just what happened to create so much sandstone along the Illinois River and how 18 canyons formed in one location in Illinois.  The hike will leave from the Starved Rock Visitor Center and cover 2 miles of trails including several large staircases.  Please dress for the weather.
